Name Notes: Named in 1918 after Frederick Etherington who was born in 1878 and died in 1955. He was a Colonel (C.M.G.) in the Canadian Army during World War I and served with the Canadian Army Medical Corps. He was a medical student at Queen's from 1898-1902 and in 1907 gained the post of professor of anatomy at Queens University. During the War he setup and commanded the No. 5 Stationary Hospital in Egypt, of which many of the staff were from Queen's faculty and students. In 1923 Etherington became Dean of Medicine at Queens.
