Story: We had storm clouds gathering around, so we descended shortly after I took this shot. We were pelted by marble-sized hail, and thunder directly overhead. After about an hour it subsided, so we stopped to gorge on huckleberries. Had the trail (Silver Basin) to ourselves. Definitely the best spot to be to take it all on without the crowds. Counted 10 vehicles at the parking lot for the Conrad Kain Hut on the way out.
