| Koflach Degre Plastic Mountaineering Boots Generic Name: Plastic Mountaineering Boots Manufacturer: Koflach Model: Degre Model Years: 2001 Weight: 1450 grams each (size 11.5) Cost: $400
Objectives: My main objective in buying a plastic mountaineering boot was to keep dry on long hiking/mountaineering trips, as opposed to any performance reasons. For that reason, lightness and comfort were key criteria. Description: Bright red, with a soft inner boot, conventional laces, as opposed to buckles. Upper collar is attached to lower part of the boot with a large pivot. Slots for crampon straps both front and back. The boot itself does not flex thus rigid crampons can be fitted. Current cost: around $400.
