A 40 km approach up the Ram River to camp an hour away from the Ram Glacier; on following days we made second ascents of Nordic Ridge and Icefall Mt. and an attempt on Mt. Huestis.

Introduction: The Ram River and Glacier is not an area that most climbers have even heard of, much less know much about. But it is beautiful, wild, and remote country – although it is outside the park boundaries and the first two-thirds are riddled with outfitters’ camps and ATV tracks, it remains one of the most pleasant and enjoyable areas I have visited, especially the section above Upper Ram Falls.
